A zone won't turn on, or won't shut off

A zone won't turn on, or won't shut off

Usually a stuck valve or a wiring fault. We diagnose it on the first visit and fix it on the spot whenever possible.

Broken, clogged, or tilted sprinkler heads

Broken, clogged, or tilted sprinkler heads

We repair or replace damaged heads and re-aim your coverage so the whole lawn gets water, not just half of it.

Low pressure or weak spray

Low pressure or weak spray

We trace the real cause, whether it's an underground leak, a cracked line, or a failing valve, instead of guessing and billing you twice.

Timer or controller acting up

Timer or controller acting up

We repair, reprogram, or upgrade you to a smart controller that adjusts watering to the weather automatically.

Water bill suddenly higher

Water bill suddenly higher

That's often a hidden leak you can't see from the surface. We find it before it costs you another month of wasted water.

Dry spots or soggy patches

Dry spots or soggy patches

Usually a sign your coverage or zoning needs adjustment, not more watering.

Whatever the issue, you'll get a plain-English explanation of what's wrong, what it costs, and how long it takes before work starts.

He quickly diagnosed the issues, repositioned several sprinkler heads, and made sure the entire system was properly adjusted to provide complete, efficient coverage for our property. His service was prompt, professional, and it's obvious he knows his craft. If you're in the Gainesville area and need irrigation or sprinkler work, Billy is absolutely the person to call. Thanks again, Billy!

Billy Mayo did an excellent and thorough job quickly repairing two bad valves in my sprinkler system. I was thoroughly impressed with his quick response to my problem. He was able to come out the morning after I contacted him and got my problems resolved that same morning within a couple of hours. I had had other companies out that could not resolve this same issue or couldn't help me for weeks. Pricing was very fair also! I highly recommend using Billy Mayo and his Gator Nation Irrigation company for your sprinkler system needs.

Billy was great and very responsive. He helped me relocate sprinkler heads in my yard after I had a new fence installed. He'll make sure that you're taken care of, even if he finds something wrong with your system that didn't happen on his watch. Highly recommend!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to repair a sprinkler system in Florida?

It depends on the problem. A broken head costs far less than a valve or line repair. We diagnose first, give you one clear quote, and only start work after you approve it.

Why is one zone of my sprinkler system not working?

Usually a stuck or failed valve, a broken solenoid, or a wiring fault between the controller and the zone. We diagnose it on the first visit and can typically fix it the same day.

Is it worth repairing an old sprinkler system or replacing it?

Most older systems can be repaired and optimized for much less than a full replacement. We'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your system, including when the cheaper option is the right one.

Do you fix sprinkler systems you didn't install?

Yes. We repair all major brands regardless of age or who installed them, even systems with no records or documentation.

Why is my water bill suddenly so high?

If your bill jumped without a change in habits, a hidden underground irrigation leak is a common culprit. We locate and repair leaks before they cost you another month of wasted water.

Can you move sprinkler heads after a fence or landscaping change?

Yes, relocating heads is one of our most common jobs. We reposition and re-aim coverage so your whole lawn gets water after the change.

How often should you run sprinklers in Florida?

For most Florida lawns, about twice a week in the warm months and once a week or less in winter, applying roughly half to three-quarters of an inch each time, ideally in early morning. Local watering restrictions in Alachua County also set which days you can water, and a smart controller handles all of this automatically.

What are signs of an overwatered lawn?

Spongy or squishy turf, yellowing grass, mushrooms or fungus patches, heavy thatch, and weeds like dollarweed that thrive in soggy soil. Runoff onto sidewalks and driveways is another giveaway that your system is applying more than the ground can absorb.

Do you handle commercial properties?

Yes. We install and maintain irrigation for offices, HOAs, retail properties, and other commercial sites across Alachua County.
